What exactly is a mystery box?

A mystery box is a curated collection of surprise gifts tailored to your chosen occasion (birthday, anniversary, holiday, etc.). You won't know the exact items inside until you open it – that's the fun part! 🎁

Each box is thoughtfully curated based on:

  • The occasion you select (Holiday, Birthday, Anniversary, etc.)
  • Recipient preferences you share with us
  • Special requests or items to avoid
  • Your budget/box price tier

Every item is hand-selected to create a delightful surprise experience!

How do I choose the right mystery box?

Start by selecting the occasion that matches your need:

  • Holiday Mystery Box ($35) – Perfect for Christmas, Hanukkah, or winter celebrations
  • Birthday Mystery Box ($40) – Surprise someone on their special day
  • Anniversary Mystery Box ($50) – Romantic gifts for couples
  • Sympathy Mystery Box ($60) – Thoughtful comfort during difficult times
  • Wedding Mystery Box ($55) – For brides, grooms, or wedding party

Can I customize or request specific items?

While you can't choose specific products (that would ruin the mystery!), you CAN share preferences:

  • Favorite colors – We'll select items in preferred color palettes
  • Hobbies & interests – Love cooking? Reading? Sports? We'll tailor accordingly
  • Items to avoid – Allergies, dislikes, or things they already have
  • Style preferences – Modern, classic, rustic, elegant, etc.
  • Special requests – Need it extra romantic? Extra fun? We've got you!

The more details you share during checkout, the better we can personalize the box! 🎯

What's the value/quality of items in each box?

  • Every box contains items with a total retail value higher than the box price
  • We source quality products from trusted brands
  • Each item is carefully inspected before packing

Example: A $40 Birthday Mystery Box might contain 4-6 items with a combined retail value of $60-$80!

Can I order multiple boxes at once?

  • Mix and match different box types for different recipients
  • Ship to multiple addresses (place separate orders for different shipping addresses)

How long does shipping take?

Total Timeline: 5-12 business days

  • Processing Time: 2-5 business days (we curate your box)
  • Shipping Time: 3-7 business days (in transit)

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within the United States only (all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii). πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

How much does shipping cost?

The price you see is the price you pay – no hidden shipping fees, no surprises at checkout. Just select your box, pay the listed price, and we'll handle the rest!

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Tracking is automatic. πŸ“

Here's what happens:

  1. Order Confirmed – You receive immediate email confirmation
  2. Processing – We curate your box (2-5 days)
  3. Shipped! – You receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking number
  4. Track It – Click the tracking link to see real-time delivery updates
  5. Delivered! – You'll know exactly when it arrives

What if I enter the wrong shipping address?

Contact us IMMEDIATELY! ⚠️

  • The correct shipping address

If we haven't shipped yet, we can update it for free. If it's already shipped, we may be able to redirect it (additional fees may apply from the carrier).

What if my package is lost or stolen?

We've got your back! Contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date if:

  • πŸ“¦ Package shows "delivered" but you didn't receive it
  • πŸšͺ Package was stolen from your porch
  • πŸ“ Package was delivered to the wrong address

We'll work with you to:

  • File a claim with the shipping carrier
  • Send a replacement box (if claim is approved)
  • Issue a refund (if replacement isn't possible)

Returns, Refunds & Issues

What is your return policy?

Due to the personalized nature of mystery boxes, returns are generally not accepted for:

  • ❌ "I didn't like the items inside"
  • ❌ "This wasn't what I expected"
  • ❌ "I changed my mind"

However, we DO accept returns for:

  • βœ… Damaged items received
  • βœ… Defective products
  • βœ… Wrong box category shipped (e.g., Birthday instead of Anniversary)
  • βœ… Missing items from your box

The mystery is part of the experience – but quality issues are never acceptable!

What if items arrive damaged?

We're so sorry if that happens! Here's what to do:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  2. Email leah@lbmbbgifts.shop with:
    • Your order number
    • Photos of the damaged items
    • Photos of the shipping box (if applicable)
  3. We'll respond within 24 hours with a solution:
    • Replacement items shipped free
    • Partial refund for damaged items
    • Full refund if multiple items are affected

Can I cancel my order?

Maybe! It depends on timing:

  • βœ… Within 2 hours of ordering? Contact us immediately – we can likely cancel and issue a full refund
  • ⚠️ 2-24 hours after ordering? We'll try our best, but we may have started curating your box
  • ❌ After 24 hours or shipped? Unfortunately, we cannot cancel once curation has begun or the box has shipped

What if I receive the wrong mystery box?

That's on us! If you ordered a Birthday Box but received an Anniversary Box (or any wrong category), we'll fix it immediately:

  • βœ… Keep the wrong box (it's yours!)
  • βœ… We'll ship the correct box at no charge
  • βœ… Expedited shipping if you needed it by a specific date

Just email leah@lbmbbgifts.shop with your order number and a photo of what you received.

How long do refunds take?

Once a refund is approved:

  • Processing: 1-2 business days (we process the refund)
  • Bank Processing: 5-10 business days (your bank posts it to your account)
  • Total Time: 7-12 business days

Refunds are credited to your original payment method. You'll receive an email confirmation when we process the refund.
